Koena Mitra is an Indian actress and model born in Bollywood, Bengali and Tamil films.
Mitra was born in Kolkata, India, into a Bengali Hindu family. She attended the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute. She has a major in psychology. She trained in western dance, basketball, swimming and tennis.
Mitra began her modeling career while still at school. In 2001, she won the beauty contest Gladrags Mega Model India 2001. She then became one of 12 semi-finalists of the Miss Intercontinental contest in Germany in 84 countries.
She has appeared in some music videos like Stereo Nation’s Ishq, Aaj Ki Raat, Akh Teri, Channo of Jasbir Jassi. His first appearance in a movie was a special appearance in Road of Ram Gopal Varma. In 2004, she appeared in Musafir alongside Anil Kapoor, Sameera Reddy and Aditya Pancholi.
